How to Get Free BattleForge Points

A guideline on how to get free Battle Forge Points in the game Battle Forge, by EA games. Requires patience and time, but can also be fun.

This is a guide on how to turn your "noob" deck into a deck that people would pay for. Now, without spending any money, you wont get as far as the retail buyers, or the people who spend a ton of money on BFP. But, you will be able to make a few "pure" decks, through time and patience.

Well, first off theres daily rewards and mini-boosters. Daily rewards give you 1 BFP a day for spending over 15 minutes in matches, which the EA team encourages you to spend on mini-boosters. These are 1-card packs, which are only 1 BFP each. They contain either common or uncommon cards, however most of the time, you will get commons. Of course, you could play everyday, saving up your BFP to buy something rare, but that would take a very, very long time.

First way: Forums.

The Battle forge forums is a valuable place for knowledge, and in this case, trade. Search phrases like "Selling cards" or "Cards for gold", and you will be bound to come up with users which sell their cards for gold. Gold is gained in game, through PvE (Player versus Environment). Traders mainly operate through the Mail system, where you send the gold first, then they send the card(s). Always look at the "Trusted Traders list", where there are a number of traders that are known to deliver their orders as promised. You could do this forever, but gold is slow to get, so this would take a long time to build up a good pure deck. These traders normally also sell BFP, at a 2-2.5k ratio (Gold to BFP). Never do this. The average tier one common card is about 750-2000 gold, and you can resell them on the market, getting 3 BFP for less.

Because of the Mini-boosters, the market is almost "dead" for common cards. You have to buy at a 3BFP minimum, and not many buy them anymore. So if you get a card you don't want or a duplicate, you can always post a thread for people to buy your cards at cheaper prices. You can also sell them for gold, which nearly always has a high turn-out, then use that gold to buy cards from other dealers.

Second way: Market Merchant

Now, maybe the circled item is a bit exaggerated, but if you see an uncommon/rare with an insanely low price, buy it, then resell at the normal price. Of course, this is purely luck based, but if you do "get lucky", you will quickly make allot of BFP. You can also try and merchant normal cards, but this has a lower success rate. This is where you can exploit the Mini-booster + daily rewards, if you find a highly desired common or uncommon, resell it on the market for 3 BFP (Minimum). Then you can buy 3 more mini-boosters, resell the uncommons, and keep the ones that wont sell.

And....

Learn to buy when the market value for a card is low, then sell it when the value is at an all time high. After all, there are always people desperate for the card. For example, an Icefang Raptor might be for a low price of 10 BFP one day, then 20 BFP the next. You can make a big profit and also a test run for the card, like renting a video game from a store. When looking for these swells, try and find uncommon/rare cards that are in medium demand. When selling, always make sure to check what other people are selling the same card for. Try to sell it for 1 BFP lower than everyone else, as then yours will be the most attractive choice for everyone, and it will sell incredibly fast. Prices for everything in real life right now are rising, and it looks like the market is going with it. Buy cheap now, as the value probably will go up, so you can sell them later. Remember that this only works with 10 BFP+ cards, so you'll have to raise some BFP using daily rewards or the other methods beforehand.

Third Way: In-Game global advertising

Use the chat system below as a advertising tool, as you may have seen in the above picture. In the chat menu on the left where you type, put in /Trade before your message, instead of /region. this makes it so that your messages go to the Trade channel, which appears in green. This is where traders go to find cards for cheaper prices, and you can too. Why this is an advantage is that with Direct Trade, you can trade 1 BFP for 1 card, and does not have the market's 3BFP minimum. Put all of the cards you are selling into a new deck, and Broadcast things telling people what you are selling, and tell them to view your deck for the whole range. People may become interested, and if they are set up for a direct trade. You can exchange cards for 1-2 BFP, and people sometimes will offer you a deal. If you sell 1 card=1 BFP, you are not making any profit, but you are giving yourself another chance to get a good card from a mini-booster.

Fourth and final way: Direct Trading

Now you might be thinking: "What? aren't trades supposed to be fair for both parties?" or "Isn't ripping off a bit low?". Yes and yes to both those questions. These are 2 ways to make BFP out of a fair trade for both parties.

Equal desirability to individual owner trade

Trade un-sellable cards for another card of the same value to the other person. Imagine you have card X, and they have card Y. Card X is a card that is a card that is not desired much, and thus does not sell well on the market. It however, is of great value to Y's owner. Card Y is a highly desired card, but is of no use to the owner. Because direct trade is much faster than the auction house (apart from buy now), they may decide to do a trade in sake of convenience, even if they would make a bit more from the AH (Auction House).

Common+Common=Uncommon

Probably the more obvious thought, commons normally sell for 3-5 on the AH, while uncommons have a much bigger range, however nearly always worth more than commons. Commons don't sell very well, due to all of them having the same price, meaning that all of them are stuck in a bunch, and that there are millions of them. This means that your one will have a low chance of being seen, as they all look the same, with no especially attractive option. On the other hand, uncommons have allot higher chance of selling. Because of the 3 BFP min, this means that the bulk of commons are worth 3. Just say you offered a thugs, and a sunstrider, while he offers a Noxious Cloud. Now, Noxious cloud is not worth much, probably 4 BFP. However, it can sell. You might be thinking: 6:4? it sounds like we are losing something. Well, you are actually gaining something. If the commons were from mini-boosters, your making a profit of 2 BFP. Here is a more in-depth explanation... Buy 2 Mini-Boosters, trade them for one Uncommon card. Of course if you find an uncommon in a mini-booster, sell it. Always think in-depth.

Follow these tips, and you will be quickly on the road to success.
